About this game

| Court of Blades is a game of politics, magic, romance, and peril. It takes place in a world populated by scheming nobles, unscrupulous court magicians, and dashing duelists.

Welcome, one and all, to the city of Ilrien! This city of canals and secrets is home to the Great Game of the Esultare- a game of backstabbing politics set among the six Major Houses, all vying for power, profit, and the title of First Prince. If you're looking for touchstone fiction, think The Princess Bride, Three Musketeers, or The Lies of Locke Lamora.

You will be playing as representatives of one of the powerful factions in the city. I'll give you a few different scenarios to choose from, and we can do character creation over Discord leading up to the session. This will be set in the version of Ilrien where my own home game of Court of Blades, so I'm looking forward to introducing a chaos element for my Monday night players to deal with. Content warnings will depend on which adventure you choose (I'll post any I can think of with the adventure hooks), but in general I expect this to be fairly light in tone!
